I’ve got less than 2 weeks before I go back to uni. I’m almost finished packing and sorting everything that I want to take with me but the only problem with getting everything ready is that I have nothing else to do and despite not wanting to leave home, I can’t wait to get back to uni so I can be productive and start learning again.
This is my final year of my bachelor’s degree, the year that I finally graduate and can move onto the next chapter of my educational career. This year is going to be the most stressful so far, with numerous assignments all due in short succession and while dreading all of the stress and freak outs that I know I’m going to have, I’m excited to start the new year and get working.
My plan for my final year is to treat it like a 9-5 job. By doing this I will avoid feeling guilty for not doing enough work during the day and having a schedule to stick to should boost my productivity during the day. Having a 9-5 schedule will allow me plenty of time during the day to get all the work done that I need to without feeling like I have to rush or that everything is getting on top of me.
I like having a plan of everything I need to complete during the week for a few reasons:
- being organised helps me feel like I’m in control of my workload;
- I’m able to stay on top of my assignments by planning my time for certain module topics;
- I can see how busy I need to be to get everything done, but also be able to see what times I’m the least busy to be able to do other tasks that I won’t have to do every week like laundry.
As nerdy as it sounds, I’m looking forward to being back at uni and starting my new modules and being back with my friends. I have always enjoyed learning and being in education so I’m excited to go back to an environment where I feel that I thrive best.
